Yeshivas Ohr V'Daas was founded under Rabbinic auspices in January,
1991 to provide services and education for the
student with special needs. We are grounded
in the belief that Torah and Judaism are the
inherent birthright of every single Jew.
Yeshivas Ohr V'Daas provides basic literacy skills in Hebrew instruction, in the customs and laws of the holidays, basic tradition, daily Shabbos prayer, parsha, chumash, mishnayos and gemara. In secular subjects, Yeshivas Ohr V'Daas offers a full spectrum of reading, math, science, social studies, gym, dance, art and music. In addition, a full life-skills program helps ready our students for adulthood through teaching communication and social skills, hygiene and grooming techniques.
Our wonderful students, ages 5-21 years old, receive all the occupational, physical and speech therapies they need, as well as individualized academic programs taught by licensed teachers. Yeshivas Ohr V'Daas provides the vehicle and soil in which children with special needs are integrated into our community on all levels.
